Discoverකුළුබඩුවේ මූලාශ්රය · The origin of the spice
Hi, I’m Ranjith. For over 40 years, cinnamon has been my craft and my business here in Ihala Malawala, Sri Lanka.
For decades, I have supplied cinnamon quills to some of Sri Lanka’s largest wholesale buyers. International buyers can receive the same proven quality and grade range I have supplied for 40 years—from Alba through C4 and C5 to further commercial grades, according to the available batch and the buyer’s requirements.
Now my daughter, my son-in-law and I are taking the next step. Together, we are building a direct route from our local cinnamon business to professional buyers worldwide—personally, transparently and with clear agreement on grade, quantity, packaging and supply.
As this direct business grows, we intend to support a local elder-care home and a local children’s home. The partner organisations and contribution model are still being agreed; once support begins, it should be documented transparently.
Same local network. Same proven trade quality. Grade, batch, quantity and packaging are confirmed for each order.

True Ceylon cinnamon comes from the inner bark of Cinnamomum verum, a tree closely associated with Sri Lanka.
Skilled makers build each quill from many thin layers of bark. This creates the delicate structure and refined, mild aroma that distinguish Ceylon cinnamon from the thicker, harder bark commonly sold as Cassia. Ceylon cinnamon also typically contains much less coumarin than Cassia. Read the BfR’s independent information ↗

Ceylon and Cassia are different types of cinnamon. Ceylon cinnamon is valued for its fine layered quills, refined aroma and typically much lower coumarin content. Product identity and current batch characteristics are confirmed for each enquiry.
